BeefBank recently caught up with the Administrator of the frontline service provider Loaves & Fishes Street Meet Care Service to find out how BeefBank beef helps those people in need.

Pastor Jock Bamford started in 1995 with 12 sandwiches and a thermos of coffee, walking the streets helping the homeless.  Today Loaves & Fishes feed up to 4000 families a week.  They have outlets in Logan, Brisbane Caboolture and Toowoomba to surrounding areas. These stores allow struggling families to choose fresh meat, vegetables, frozen meals and a range of other goods to include in hampers. Loaves and Fishes also operate Street Vans and Mobile Food Trailers to reach more people including Spring Hill in Brisbane.

They have a wonderful Chef who donates his time and is inspired by what ingredients are donated each week.  Curries and traditional roast beef and gravy are favourites on the street.

As fantastic as this is, our conversation started and finished with the plea for more beef.

Donating to BeefBank might seem small to you, but the biggest ripples start from the smallest steps. Join us in the fight to feed the homeless and needy and help frontline organisations like Loaves and Fishes. Help us make society a better place for all our future generations to live.

BeefBank is proudly run by the Rotary Club of Brisbane Centenary. 100% of all donations going to the purchase and production of meals for the homeless and those in need. We work through Foodbank Qld to ensure charities on the frontline of tackling this issue get the support they need.
